Simulation Based Experiences

The work of a simulated patient closely parallels the craft of acting: preparing scripts carefully, embodying specific emotional and behavioral states, responding naturally within guided scenarios, and maintaining consistency across multiple performances. Our background in theatre has required these same skills, along with the reliability, preparation, and collaborative professionalism essential to educational settings.

As educators, we have also spent many years helping students develop communication and interpersonal awareness—skills that are central to effective patient care. We appreciate the important role simulation plays in preparing healthcare professionals to engage patients with clarity, empathy, and attentiveness.
